Beyond the Beauty | Documentary

A Documentary on Bengaluru's Beautified Lakes

This documentary investigates the efficacy of lake rejuvenation projects in Bengaluru, challenging their perception as mere beautification efforts. It delves into the ecological significance of lakes as biodiversity havens, and water purification systems, questioning whether current practices truly address these crucial functions. The film explores the misconceptions surrounding lake restoration through compelling visuals, expert interviews, and personal narratives.

My documentary "Beyond the Beauty" as part of NID's elective "Kere Kathegalu" (Translated: Stories from the Lake), wasn't just for an open elective. It was an immersive experience. During the open day, I wanted to bring my research to life, not just present it. So, alongside satirical posters to spark curiosity, I showcased water samples from diverse lakes, inviting viewers to literally touch the heart of my work.
